November happened. December happened. And January has now happened and it has all been a blur!
I could not believe that I have not posted anything for over three months now, but then - I was so busy I could scarcely have found the time to eat or sleep!
As soon as we finished with the success of The Magic Flute 3.0 (A Space Opera) - in November,
with no time wasted it was time for two concert series with The Music of the Baroque~ Here's my favorite performance venue - St. Michael's in Old Town~
We had SUCH a great time, and created phenomenal music with some of the best musicians this world has to offer. Here's a post-holiday-performance snapshot:
Between this, and my private solo holiday performances and The All Village Singers' performances, it averaged about 6 concerts a week for about 6 weeks straight! -Not to mention the occasional audition or two, and attempting to teach all 35 of my brilliant students... Which brings me to them~!
They have just had two wonderful recitals this past week, here is a fun photo from one of them! It was so rewarding to see them all shine!
Needless to say, after all that busy-ness, it was time for a much-needed break. Trent (my husband) and I, and our friends, took off to Costa Rica for a week and had such a nice time.
Highlights? Zip-lining in the Cloud Forest was definitely my favorite thing. Also spotting crocodiles, iguanas, rare birds and other wildlife, and relaxing at gorgeous deserted beaches - an advantage to traveling post-tourist rush. It was so nice to travel -and not have the pressure to sing at the desired destination, such a rarity.
It was serenity at it's finest. Here are a few photos:
These post card perfect photos are a small glimpse of the beautiful scenes we experienced while we were there. Here is a photo of us after our river tour, my husband and our dear friends we traveled with~ We are a bit like the monkeys we met along our way, I'm afraid.
That's my motto!
